i analyzed the appearances khaki, beige, taupe, & tan clothing in the twilight saga to see if i could read too deep into yet another aspect of twilight. turns out, i can! tl;dr true selves & hidden desires go hand-in-hand in twilight. characters use khaki & similar colors so their insidious desires & freaky selves look unremarkable & inoffensive.
